Most of us learned about money by watching, not by being told. This book tells you, in plain words: what you have, how to plan and protect it, and how saving, investing and tax actually work. Indian examples throughout, and small steps you can take one at a time.
You don’t have to manage every money decision alone, but you should understand your own money well enough that you’re never helpless. Each chapter ends with a “Do this now” step that builds your 12-Month Plan, notes show what applies whether or not you earn, and the book tells you when it’s time to bring in a qualified professional.

FAQs
Is it suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. It starts from the very beginning and explains every idea in plain words, with everyday Indian examples. There’s a 140-term glossary at the back for any word you want to look up.
What topics does it cover?
Bank accounts, spending plans, emergency funds, loans and credit cards, insurance, scams, nominees and wills, FDs, PPF, EPF, NPS and gold, mutual funds and SIPs, goals and retirement, income tax, money in marriage and family, career breaks, and a simple routine for looking after it all.
Does it tell me which funds or stocks to buy?
No. It explains how each kind of product works and the questions to ask, so you can decide for yourself or with a qualified professional. It’s general education, not personal financial advice.
Are the rates and rules in the book up to date?
Rates, limits and tax rules change often, so the book focuses on how things work rather than numbers that go out of date. Before you act, it points you to the official websites to check the current position.
Is it a printed book?
Yes. It’s a 230-page paperback, A4 size and printed in full colour, delivered to your door.
